
LME aluminium opened at US$2,362 per tonne last Friday and closed at US$2,390 per tonne, up US$28 per tonne or 1.14 per cent.

On Friday, April 14, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price expanded by US$26 per tonne or 1.11 per cent to halt at US$2,355 per tonne and US$2,356 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price were hiked by US$26 per tonne or 0.97 per cent to settle at US$2,387 per tonne and US$2,388 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price grew by US$13 per tonne or 0.50 per cent to peg at US$2,563 per tonne and US$2,568 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 530650 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 452950 tonnes and 77700 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price surged by US$59.76 per tonne or 2.57 per cent to halt at US$2,382.15 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On April 17, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price closed at US$2,725 per tonne, recording a drop of US$14 per tonne or 0.51 per cent.
SHFE 2305 aluminium grew RMB 235 per tonne or 1.27 per cent to RMB 18,725 per tonne. The open interest dipped 822 lots to 174,704 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2305 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,765 per tonne at last Friday’s night session and climbed to RMB 18,830 per tonne, but then fell back to RMB 18,700, closing up RMB 5 per tonne or 0.03 per cent.
