Libo Cosmetics has recently been awarded the Packaging Award for its Venus Refillable Aluminium Lipstick, which is made of 100% recyclable aluminium. Among the four other winners in different categories at the annual MakeUp in Paris' Innovation & Trends (IT) Awards, Libo won a well-deserved spot.
The annual MakeUp in Paris' Innovation & Trends (IT) Awards recently concluded at the Carrousel du Louvre, and it was a grand success. The competition was open to all exhibitors at the show, who could submit up to three skincare and makeup innovations. This year, a total of 31 new skincare and makeup products and packaging were nominated, surpassing the tally of 117 products in the competition.
After rigorous evaluation by the jury, four innovations and two "special mention" prizes were awarded in the categories of Accessory, Formulation, Full Service, and Packaging. The Packaging Award was won by Taiwanese company Libo Cosmetics for its Venus Refillable Aluminium Lipstick.
The winning packaging is a true innovation in itself. It is made entirely from 100% aluminium, including the cap and shell, with no plastic waste involved in the manufacturing process. The refillable mechanism further enhances the design's ecological aspect, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly option.
The lipstick case is also customizable, with a wide range of finishes available, including matte, satin, and gloss metallic finishes. All in all, this award-winning packaging is a perfect example of innovation and sustainability combined, and it is sure to set a new standard in the industry.
