The bike runs on two 16-inch cast aluminium wheels with tires suitable for off-road riding and the total weight amounting to a wholesome 15 kg. Also, it features a broad handlebar and an enlarged seat to make kids between the age of three and eight years comfortable. The handlebar and seat are open to adjustments according to the rider's height. This revelation marks Kawasaki’s first step toward the world of electronic vehicles.

Kawasaki has been renowned for manufacturing pedal-ridden bicycles and small displacement motorcycles for children training for the first time on two-wheelers. The company also organises competitions for children on a global scale.

The Kawasaki e-bike, Elektrode, is designed for young minds entering the world of two-wheelers for the first time. The bike might be the most sustainable alternative for children other than pedal-powered bicycles and small-displacement motorcycles before they get used to the real world of petrol-driven riding and dirt.

The Kawasaki Elektrode uses power churned by a 36V 5.1Ah battery that enables the bike to achieve a riding time of 2.5 hours with one single charge. The bike also has a 250W brushless electric motor mounted on the rear wheel which remains linked with the battery. There are claims of the e-bike reaching the highest speed of 20 km per hour.

The bike would ask for a passcode to unlock various travelling speeds for guided security. It also has a 160mm rear disc brake with an adjustable brake lever, giving the bike accuracy during rides. The e-bike has no suspension units, and the aluminium frame has a load-bearing capacity of almost 45 kg.
