Hydro won the Aluminium Industry Leadership Award, the Breakthrough Solution of the Year (Hydro CIRCAL) and the Metals Company of the Year in the S&P Global Platts Award 2020, the leading independent provider of information and benchmark prices for the commodities and energy markets.

Breakthrough Solution of the Year Award (Hydro CIRCAL)
“Our panel of judges was particularly impressed with the ability to turn scrap into products with the same property as primary aluminium with the use of 75 percent or more recycled aluminium”.
Metals company of the Year award (Hydro)
“The panel of judges was particularly impressed the company’s recycling and the leadership of the CEO. They were also impressed by the fact that the company has a plan for 2030. ESG and CSR are very strong, making it a complete organization. The company’s fearlessness and rebound from a cyber-attack without paying any ransom demonstrate courage that has also impressed the judges”.
