Hindalco hikes its aluminium products price by INR 2,750/t with effect from October 31

Hindalco Industries Limited has hiked its aluminium products price after declining it for the second time in a row. With effect from Saturday, 31 October 2020, the company’s wire rods price stands at INR 166,350 per tonne, up by INR 2,750 per tonne, from INR 163,600 tonne on October 31.

Aluminium billets price to stands at INR 162,350 per tonne as of Saturday, 31 October 2020. This marks a growth of INR 2,750 per tonne from INR 159,600 per tonne on October 30.

Hindalco aluminium ingots price has increased by INR 2,750 per tonne to INR 155,250 per tonne on October 31.

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium prices on LME are flat so far in 2020.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
