EDITED BY : 1MINS READ

German-based HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH has presented RED GIANT in a new version at this year’s Pollutec in Lyon, France. The shredder type VB 950 DK comes with a newly designed discharge conveyor belt with discharge height of approximately 5000 mm.

The shredder can be used for fresh wood, railway sleepers; bulky, domestic and industrial waste, especially aluminium profiles, car bodies, light mixed scrap and much more.

“The new modern design is just one of numerous modifications. The primary crusher is characterized above all by a hydraulic system of the latest generation, which allows a much higher nominal torque at the shafts compared to the previous model. The engine speed has been reduced to 1,800 rpm as well. Due to those modifications together with the disappearance of the cooler, a significant reduction in noise has been achieved,” the company said.

“As usual, HAMMEL’0s primary shredder type 950 DK also has the proven "easy to use control", characterized by its extreme ease of operation. Parameters such as shaft speed and reversing times can easily be adjusted. Error messages are displayed in plain text.

The HAMMEL 950 DK primary shredder demonstrates its power with a CAT C18 diesel engine and 760 hp.
