Aluminium household products are gradually replacing plastic and steel components in our daily life, as aluminium is stronger than plastic and lighter than steel. Aluminium also allows heat to disperse quickly, turning utensils and products into cooler faster. The other reasons behind the usage of aluminium in household articles are its superior properties when it comes to design, sustainability and corrosion resistance.

In February 2022, the European Commission in its winter economic forecast report released that the economy of Greece is expected to expand by 4.9% in 2022 and 3.5% in 2023.
The South-eastern European nation, Greece imported 12,414 tonnes of aluminium household articles during 2019-21, attracting revenue expenditure of around $51.97 million for the import.
Greece's import of aluminium household articles in 2019 was registered at 3967 tonnes, which incurred a revenue outflow of $18.94 million, whereas, in 2020, the import of the aluminium products was witnessed to remain bland at 3962 tonnes, counting expenditure of $17.03 million. The global supply and demand disruption caused by the Covid pandemic was the primary reason for this dull import demand.
The aluminium household articles importation during 2021 was documented at 4485 tonnes, demonstrating a growth of 13.20%, while the expenditure was recorded at around $16 million.
However, the import for 2022 is analysed with further growth of 5.12%, as the import volume is anticipated to rebound at 4715 tonnes, a growth expected following the post-Covid phase, causing expenditure for the import to stand at $16.60 million.
The major export trading nations for Greece import of aluminium household articles are Albania, Austria, Belgium, China, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, India, Poland, etc.
