SOURCE Global is thrilled to introduce SKY WTR by SOURCE™, a groundbreaking product in the bottled water market. This innovative offering is the first of its kind, providing sustainably sourced bottled water without extraction methods. Using cutting-edge technology powered by sunlight and air, SKY WTR redefines the traditional approach to producing bottled water. In an era where reevaluating our consumption of finite resources is imperative, SKY WTR marks a significant step forward in sustainability within the USD$350 billion bottled water industry.
Since 1993, over 2150 gigatons of groundwater have been extracted from the Earth. Numerous specialists predict that global demand for freshwater will surpass available supply by 40 per cent by 2030. In contrast to conventional bottled water sourced from limited reservoirs, springs, and streams, SKY WTR, produced by SOURCE Hydropanels, relies solely on sunlight and air, eliminating the need for electricity.
The patented technology harnesses solar energy to drive fans, which pull air through water-absorbing material. This innovative process converts water vapour into high-quality drinking water, naturally enriched with minerals for both health and flavour.
SKY WTR embodies the dedication of the Scottsdale, Arizona-based company to fulfil the growing consumer desire for genuinely sustainable bottled water alternatives. Through retail outlets nationwide, SKY WTR aims to provide accessible, environmentally friendly drinking water options.
Residents in California and Arizona seeking eco-friendly drinking water solutions for their homes now have the option to pre-order a residential version of the technology behind SKY WTR. Ashley Hower, the Vice President of Marketing at SOURCE Global, anticipates that SKY WTR will serve as a demonstration of hydropanel technology.
Hower said, “SKY WTR is a game-changer. It will give consumers a sustainable, non-extractive bottled water option that’s truly unique. The same SOURCE technology that leapfrogs infrastructure and provides drinking water to people who need it around the world will be a positive disruptor in an industry that desperately needs it.”
The world's largest "water farm" in Marianna, Florida, will utilize thousands of SOURCE Hydropanels to generate SKY WTR. Upon its debut, individual 16 oz recyclable aluminium cans will be priced at $1.49, while eight packs of the same cans will be available for $11.99. SKY WTR by SOURCE is set to hit shelves at major retailers nationwide by late spring or early summer.
