The available data suggests that in 2019, France’s aluminium bar rods and profiles import from Spain is likely to stand at 109,893 tonnes, up 6.20 per cent from the previous year.
Germany and Belgium are the two other important suppliers of aluminium bar rods and profiles to France. In 2019, they are estimated to provide 29,669 tonnes and 24,578 tonnes, compared to 27,419 tonnes and 23,675 tonnes in 2018.
Now coming to the import cost, France’s aluminium bar rods and profiles import value from Spain had totalled at US$157 million, which in 2017 and 2018 increased to US$287 million and US$329 million, up 83 per cent and 15 per cent year on year. According to the data, this year the cost is likely to hover at US$359 million, up 9.11 per cent from 2018.

Imports from Germany and Belgium are likely to be amounted at US$141 million and US$78 million this year, up 14 per cent and 8.3 per cent from US$124 million and US$72 million in 2018.
