Fondital SpA achieves ASI Performance Standard V2 Certification for its three facilities in Vobarno

Fondital SpA has been certified against the ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification at its three facilities in Vobarno, Italy, for the production of high-grade aluminium special alloys from recycled content and the manufacture of automotive parts via melting, high-pressure die-casting, heat treatment, and machining. In 2020, the company joined forces with Raffmetal SpA, which was certified against the ASI Performance Standard (V2).

Bureau Veritas Certification conducted an independent, third-party audit of the Fondital SpA facilities. The audit occurred before May 31, 2023, allowing for Performance Standard V2 certification.

The ASI Certification programme, developed after intensive multi-stakeholder input, is the only complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain. The ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) establishes environmental, social, and governance principles and criteria to address sustainability challenges throughout the aluminium value chain. It creates 59 bars within the three sustainability pillars of Environment, Social, and Governance, addressing critical concerns such as biodiversity, labour rights, Indigenous Peoples' rights, and greenhouse gas emissions.
