On November 7, Emirates Global Aluminium, the biggest industrial company in the United Arab Emirates excluding oil and gas, introduced EGA Ramp-Up, an initiative with the focus on funding the next generation of entrepreneurs whose enterprises will help in a steady growth of the economy and generate new open work positions.

EGA Ramp-Up will deliver practical aid and tuition to the entrepreneurs setting up businesses that heavily solidify the region's sustainability and social advancement quotient, along with encouraging new technology and immense human capital development.
To achieve 100 per cent accountability through the process, EGA has collaborated with C3 to streamline the initiative. A UAE-based social organisation, C3 mainly lends a helping hand to entrepreneurs across the region to unravel their lofty dreams and maximise their affirmative influence on the environment and the community.
UAE considers entrepreneurship as one of its biggest agendas correlated with its 2071 Centennial plan. The National Agenda for Entrepreneurship and SMEs nurture the idea of making the country a perfect destination for global entrepreneurship by the year 2031.
The Chief Executive Officer of EGA, Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, exemplified: "EGA has contributed to economic diversification and growth for more than 40 years, and we have both the opportunity and the responsibility to support today's entrepreneurs as they start their businesses. EGA Ramp-Up is our response – a programme that will support entrepreneurs to develop businesses that are successful and benefit society. Our ultimate goal is that some of these new companies become suppliers to EGA as we further localise our own procurement."
With the world moving toward sustainability, many emerging companies are replacing their raw material with aluminium, since it is an infinitely recyclable non-ferrous metal. Aluminium is extremely lightweight and malleable which makes it a perfect option for many important industries, such as transport, construction and packaging sectors.
The EGA Ramp-Up programme will definitely entice hundreds of upcoming and already established entrepreneurs to participate in a series of informative online courses on effective entrepreneurship. The programme will technically provide mentoring guidelines for the most promising start-ups, with experts monitoring their advancements. Start-ups with similar priorities like EGA might later receive the honour of working with the esteemed organisation or separately earn cash prizes.
