Taber Extrusions has launched a $70 million expansion in Russellville featuring North America’s largest aluminum extrusion press, with production scheduled to begin Wednesday and 70 new jobs expected at the facility. This includes the OCTO and BETA Aluminium Towers, BetaGuard, Alphastep, Sigmadeck and Omegadeck. Alcoa Corporation announced the signing of amended joint venture agreement with the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden). Exports came in at 125,000 tonnes last month. Aluminium foil exports dropped 4.53 per cent in April. On a month-on-month comparison, China's export of aluminium foil increased 21.57 per cent in May.
