Czech Republic’s Aluminium scrap export during 2017-19 shows robust growth; Estimated 7.62% downfall in 2020

The economy of the Czech Republic is a developed export-oriented social market economy based on services, manufacturing, and innovation that maintains a high-income welfare state and the European social model. While the automotive industry is the Czech Republic's largest industry, other key sectors in the region include machinery, iron and steel production, metallurgy, chemical production, electronics, transport equipment, textiles, glass, ceramics, defence and pharmaceuticals.

The Central European nation’s aluminium scrap export during 2017-19 has been recorded at 170,364 tonnes with the revenue generation remained at $172.41 million. The estimated aluminium scraps export for 2020 to stay at 66,106 tonnes and earnings to stand at $61.13 million. However, when the analysed 2020 export volume and earnings get assorted with the existing three years it depicts 236,470 tonnes and $233.54 million respectively.

Czech Republic’s export for 2017 stood at 32,080 tonnes and the earnings remained at $27.97 million, whereas in 2018 the export saw steep growth of 107.98%, as the export volume climbed to 66,720 tonnes and earnings also rose to $71.79 million.

In 2019, the country’s aluminium scrap export also exhibited positive growth by 7.26%, as the export volume inclined to 71,564 and earnings also raised marginally to $72.65 million.

The estimated export for 2020 has been analysed with downfall by 7.62%, as the export volume to drop and remain at 66,106 tonnes and earnings also to drop at $61.13 million.

Czech Republic’s major trading nation for the exportation of aluminium scrap are Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Latvia, Romania, etc.
