CRU and FRH Aluminum will jointly organize the inaugural Aluminum Recycling Technical Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The one-and-a-half-day conference will take place at the Radisson Nashville Airport on October 15- 16 2019.

CRU has collaborated with long-time industry expert Bob Hubbard of FRH Aluminum for an exclusive technical conference on the aluminium scrap market. Mr. Hubbard has 49 years of experience in the aluminium industry starting his career at Alcoa in 1970, where he worked for 20 years. He spent another 27 years working for IMCO, Aleris, and Real Alloy where he developed his expertise in aluminium melting, scrap/dross recovery, and alloy specifications. Bob later started FRH Aluminum, LLC, a consulting business dedicated to the recycling aluminium sector.
Industry experts from Wendt Corporation, TSI, JT Thorpe, AMCOR, Mechatherm International and others have already confirmed their participation in the event. The experts will share their expertise on sourcing, preparing, receiving, sorting, and recovering aluminium scrap to the delegates in an informal, learning, and networking environment.
According to CRU, considering the growing importance of secondary aluminium and the changing dynamics of the U.S. scrap and primary aluminium markets, efficient aluminium scrap recovery is becoming the need of the hour. The conference, according to the market intelligence company, will benefit industry players operating at any vertical of the aluminium value chain, especially in the secondary, rolling, extrusion, forging, and casting segments.
