Cigweld increases safety with 220 and 300 ACDC aluminium welders
Cigweld introduces two new welding inverters designed to produce excellent seal quality on some of the thinnest materials.

Cigweld’s Transtig 220AC/DC and 300AC/DC Series aluminium welders combine the finest hardware with the latest digital software control systems, and come with DC stick, AC/DC Lift TIG and AC/DC HF TIG. In TIG welding setting, the Transtig 220AC/DC and 300AC/DC are capable of pulse welding, spot welding, 2T (Normal) and 4T (Latch) modes, making them ideal for a range of applications from boat building and panel beating to precision work in chemistry, wine or water tank installations.

The Transtig 220AC/DC and 300AC/DC welding inverters are packed with the latest safety features to allow the operator to weld harder confidently, while the increased number of controls at the stick enables precise and simple control.

Featuring an intelligent core based on quality hardware and state-of-the-art software that ensure precise control of gas and current, the new welders deliver a very intense and focused arc that gives a slimmer seam and perfect optics, with minimal heat input.

The automatic downslope feature helps the operator smooth out those ends and fill up the craters properly, making the new AC/DC range perfectly suited to precision welding.

Transtig’s industry-leading performance also comes from advanced processors that ensure the perfect balance of gas pre-purge, arc form and welding current, giving a better duty cycle and better end results.

The new alternating current process (MACS) produces the ideal AC arc and a perfect cleaning effect in the bath, creating optimal conditions for welding very thin material. If the voltage at the terminals on the 220AC/DC or 300AC/DC plants or power sources exceeds 35V, the machine immediately shuts down to prevent shock.

Key features and advantages of Cigweld’s Transtig 220AC/DC and 300AC/DC Series aluminium welders also include a tough steel case, compliant to IP23S keeping components protected and preventing water ingress; simple gas control reducing wear to the electrode and welding seams; power factor correction feature drawing less current from the mains and keeping costs down; Transtig Tiptronic simplifying adjustments and settings; clear control panel with a big knob allowing operation even with gloves on; ability to pre-program up to a hundred settings for different jobs, recalled at the touch of a button; crystal clear, seven-segment displays; and a stainless steel handhold grip and accessory belt for effortless portability.
