
According China Customs data, China’s imports of primary aluminium dropped in August. The country’s primary aluminium imports decreased 20.7 per cent year-on-year to 7,706 tonnes in August.

During the first eight months of this year, the country’s inbound shipments of aluminium were 85,436 tonnes, down 34.55 per cent year-on-year, according to news published by Shanghai Metals Market.
China exported 240 tonnes of primary aluminium in August. During the first eight months of 2017, the country exported 10,892 tonnes of aluminium, down 33.72 per cent on a yearly basis.
