
As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, inventories of aluminium billet fell for the 12th consecutive week. Stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China shrank by 700 tonnes from Thursday December 26 to stand at 49,900 tonnes as of Thursday January 2, after dipping 1,700 tonnes in the previous week.

Inventories of aluminium billet in Foshan, Changzhou and Huzhou stood at 19,000 tonnes, 4,800 tonnes and 11,000 tonnes on Thursday, 02 January 2020, up 2,100 tonnes, 800 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes from December 26. But the stocks of aluminium billet in Wuxi and Nanchang reduced 3,700 tonnes and 900 tonnes to stand at 12,100 tonnes and 3,000 tonnes.
The aluminium alloy (ADC12) price remained unchanged at RMB 15000 per tonne and is expected to range at RMB 14900 per tonne-15100 per tonne. The Aluminium alloy (A356), Aluminium alloy (ZLD104), and Aluminium alloy (ZLD102) inched up by RMB 50 per tonne each to RMB 15300 per tonne, RMB 15125 per tonne and RMB 15150 per tonne on January 2.
