China’s A00 aluminium price sheds RMB100/t; Alumina price in Shanxi downsizes by RMB10/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 100 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,770 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Monday, September 19. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,750 per tonne and RMB 18,790 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed a downfall in aluminium prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot price decreasing the most in Hangzhou by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 18,780 per tonne, followed by RMB 100 per tonne slump in Gongyi, Foshan, Wuxi and Linyi to RMB 18,650 per tonne, RMB 18,770 per tonne, RMB 18,760 per tonne and RMB 18,770 per tonne. The prices of aluminium in Chongqing and Shenyang have recorded an RMB 80 per tonne drop to settle at RMB 18,820 per tonne and RMB 18,720 per tonne. Only in Tianjin, the aluminium price has shed RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 18,770 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has lost RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,373 per tonne on Monday, September 19.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have declined by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 26,900 per tonne and RMB 27,900 per tonne, respectively.

The average alumina price in China has lost RMB 6 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,921 per tonne, while RMB 10 per tonne was subtracted from the alumina price in Shanxi with the price closing at RMB 2,865 per tonne. The Australian Alumina FOB price has risen by US$6 per tonne to US$358 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price tumbled down by RMB 100 per tonne arriving at RMB 20,200 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have shown no alteration at all.

The aluminium powder price in China has de-escalated by RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.70 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.60 per kg and 20.80 per kg.
