China’s A00 aluminium ingot price falls for two days straight to RMB18690/t; Alumina price in Guangxi loses RMB15/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has slumped by RMB 80 per tonne to close at RMB 18,690 per tonne, as the Shanghai Metals Market recorded on Tuesday, September 20. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 18,670 per tonne and RMB 18,710 per tonne, with spot contracts trading at discount prices of RMB 70 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne.

The provinces in China have witnessed a downfall in aluminium prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot prices declining the highest in Foshan and Shenyang by RMB 90 per tonne to RMB 18,680 per tonne and RMB 18,630 per tonne. The prices of aluminium in Wuxi, Hangzhou, Chongqing and Linyi have recorded an RMB 80 per tonne drop to settle at RMB 18,680 per tonne, RMB 18,700 per tonne, RMB 18,740 per tonne and RMB 18,690 per tonne. The price of aluminium in Gongyi has fallen by RMB 70 per tonne to close at RMB 18,580 per tonne. Only in Tianjin, the aluminium price has shed RMB 60 per tonne to close at RMB 18,710 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has lost RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,283 per tonne on Tuesday, September 20.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have declined by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 26,800 per tonne and RMB 27,800 per tonne, respectively.

The average alumina price in China has dropped by RMB 3 per tonne to rest at RMB 2,918 per tonne, while RMB 15 per tonne was subtracted from the alumina price in Shanxi with the price closing at RMB 2,850 per tonne. The price of alumina in Guangxi has decreased by RMB 15 per tonne to halt at RMB 2,905 per tonne.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price dwindled down by RMB 100 per tonne arriving at RMB 20,100 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have refrained from showing any change.

The aluminium powder price in China has de-escalated by RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 20.60 per kg, with average prices ranging between RMB 20.50 per kg and 20.70 per kg.
