These standards, led by the institute, focus on testing residual stress in thick and thin aluminium and aluminium alloy plates.

This accomplishment underscores the establishment of industrialised testing and evaluation technology in aviation materials by the Chinalco Institute of Materials. The approved standards will play a crucial role in regulating and controlling the processing deformation stability of aluminium alloys in the industry, particularly in aluminium processing.
