Chile’s import of aluminium plates, sheets and strips in 2018 stood at 30,717 tonnes and the expenditure remained at $104.70 million, whereas, in 2019 the import saw de-growth by 27.61%, as the import volume falls to 22,233 tonnes, while expenditure rises to $115.24 million.
The import for 2020 is expected to reach 22,102 tonnes, a drop of 0.58%, but the expenditure to remain at the higher side and reach $133 million.
