
Rollplast, a Bulgaria-based PVC and aluminium doors and windows maker, has inaugurated a new office compound and expanded its production unit at Kostinbrod, near Sofia, with a wholesome investment of 30 million levs or US$16.4 million.

As the Economy Ministry cited in a Press Release recently, the manufacturer of aluminium shutters has envisioned solidifying a commercial network in Croatia as it aims to foster almost 50 per cent share of exports in this sector.
With its current round of investments, Rollplast has generated almost 30 new job positions and employed over 500 working professionals. The application of the latest automatic methods has augmented the usual output volume of Rollplast, as the company’s managing director Svetlin Nikolchev pointed out.
Until now, Rollplast has already invested 110 million levs in establishing 53 outlets, 49 warehouses and 144 franchise partners in Greece, Serbia, North Macedonia and Bulgaria.
In January this year, it was announced by the company that it would keep aside almost 12 million levs or US$6.7 million to acquire the latest machinery for Rollplast’s Kostinbrod plant. The company initially was an expert in making aluminium doors and windows alongside shuttering systems, but in 2021, it diversified its production capability to include PVC doors and windows. The formation of the PVC new venture by Rollplast demanded an investment of 18 million levs.
Rollplast’s newly expanded unit at Kostinbrod will also features a 4 MWp solar photovoltaic and battery storage system that has been attached to the grid, commented Rosen Deyanski, the administrative director of Rollplast.
