Benteler Aluminium Systems Michigan Inc. is looking to add more jobs in Holland.
The Holland plant, 365 W. 24th St., has filed an application for tax abatement which could create 67 new jobs and retain the 138 existing jobs at the company.
The abatement is for about $7.2 million and will be voted on at the Sept. 7 Holland City Council meeting.
“We are in the middle of launching several new programs,” said Elena Sgroia, finance manager at Benteler. “It will generate more jobs. We are in the process of launching bumpers for the Nissan Pathfinder. That is the main driver for our business.”
