BCGP launches aluminium rigid-hulled inflatable boat at New Orleans WorkBoat Show

<p>Last week&rsquo;s International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans saw the launch of aluminium rigid-hulled inflatable boat by Brunswick Commercial &amp; Government Products (BCGP)<br /><br />The 850 Aluminium Impact (Rigid Inflatable Boat) is the introductory model from a first-of-its-kind boat series that features five variants ranging in size from 7.5 meters (24&prime;) to 12 meters (40&prime;) within a power range of 300 hp to 700 hp. Designed for the commercial and government use, BCGP will market the new boats to domestic law enforcement agencies as well as militaries globally.</p> <p><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/rsz_brunswick_850-702x336.jpg" alt="News" width="517" height="226" /><br />&ldquo;We are happy to introduce the Aluminium Impact line here at the International WorkBoat show,&rdquo; said Jeremy Davis, BCGP director of sales. &ldquo;This international stage provides us the opportunity to showcase the new aluminium boat&rsquo;s capabilities to serve in law enforcement, military and other commercial applications.&rdquo;<br /><br />The boat chassis sports an 18&Prime; draft and has a mill-finish welded structure. BCGP has designed and assembled the boat at its Edgewater, Fla., headquarter and the boat body is fabricated by a local aluminium contractor.</p> <p><strong>{googleAdsense}</strong><br /><br />The boat features dual 350-hp Mercury Marine Verado outboard engines, a hard-sided urethane-coated polyester fabric collar system by CPI, shock mitigating SHOXS seats, a Raymarine electronics package, and a Boatmaster heavy duty aluminium trailer.<br /><br />As reported by Brunswick&rsquo;s marketing coordinator Kelsey Nemeth the boat has been appreciated by the military people who have visited the show.<br /><br />&ldquo;The new aluminium [RIBs] are an exciting addition to our existing product line-up because we now have the ability to offer customers a one-stop shop experience,&rdquo; said Davis. &ldquo;By providing both aluminium and fiberglass solutions, we can help government agencies have more commonality in their fleets, allowing for maintenance optimization and interoperability for officers in the field,&rdquo; he concluded.</p>
