Anheuser-Busch has announced an investment of more than USD 20 million in its facilities in St. Louis and Arnold, Missouri, to expand production capacity and strengthen manufacturing operations. The investment includes upgrades to brewery and aluminium can manufacturing equipment to support growing demand for brands such as Michelob ULTRA and Busch Light.
{alcircleadd}The company will also establish a new technical skills training centre at its St. Louis brewery to develop the next generation of manufacturing professionals. The centre will provide training in mechanical, electrical, digital and operational skills and will complement the company's existing Technical Excellence Centre.
The investment is part of Anheuser-Busch's Brewing Futures initiative, under which the company plans to invest USD 600 million across its US operations during 2025 and 2026. The programme focuses on modernising breweries, supporting manufacturing jobs, developing workforce skills and creating career opportunities for veterans.
Brendan Whitworth, CEO of the company, said, “Investments at this scale in our facilities and our people ensure that our St. Louis Brewery remains at the heart of Anheuser-Busch, supporting continued growth and driving economic prosperity in our hometown for decades to come.”
Anheuser-Busch said the new training centre will be one of 15 planned across the United States. The company aims to train more than 90 per cent of its manufacturing workforce over the next five years, building on the more than 2,600 employees trained at the St. Louis Technical Excellence Centre since 2022.

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe welcomed the investment, saying it reinforces the state's long-standing brewing and manufacturing industry while supporting employment and economic growth. In his words, “With policies like American Beer Act, Missouri leads in providing an incredible environment for the brewers and manufacturers that deliver lasting opportunity for hardworking families and economic growth for the state and nation.”
To mark the investment, Anheuser-Busch will relocate the animated "A & Eagle" sign from its former Newark facility to its flagship St. Louis campus, where it will serve as a symbol of the company's manufacturing heritage and long-standing presence in the region.
