Aluminium is making a mark in the gaming console industry too with the Analogue Nt which is a modern Nintendo Entertainment System cut out from a solid block of aluminium to play classic games and came to the market in 2015.
Now Analogue is coming up with a compact, stylish and less expensive version of Analogue Nt next January. Called the Analogue Nt mini, the new version of the long-sold out hardware will be 20 percent smaller and carry a much lower price.
The makers of the console say that the mini version will outclass the original Analogue Nt with a better offering. The mini will be available with built in RGB and HDMI output. Analogue Nt mini will provide a complete package of wireless 8Bitdo NES30 controller and Retro Receiver which will be compatible with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii and Wii U Pro Controllers.
According to Analogue founder Chris Taber the added features and the lower price tag will save about $200 in comparison to the original model.
Notwithstanding, its small compact size, the Analogue Nt mini features the same solid, aluminium exterior design that adorns as the original. The sturdy mini version can play a much larger selection of games. The console supports both NES and Famicom cartridges and it can also play Disk System games with an extra expansion port. The company confirms that the console is compatible with over 2,000 games without any region restrictions.
