The UK-based leading aluminium window and door manufacturer Fentrade Limited has taken a 3,000 square feet unit at Maesglas Industrial Estate as part of its expansion plan. This expansion is reportedly expected to bring 10 new jobs to the area.

The estate is now fully let until further four units come back onto the market after refurbishment. Work on units 14, 15, 19 and 19A, which are 2,140 square feet each is expected to be finished in November.
Fentrade Limited chose Maesglas Industrial Estate for the expansion because of its convenient location near the M4, which would expectedly benefit distribution, recruitment, and other complimentary businesses on the estate.
In regards to this, Chris Reeks, director for Fentrade Limited, said: After reviewing many properties and locations we opted for Maesglas as our manufacturing base because of the great potential the area holds for us as we look to expand to meet increasing demand for aluminium windows and doors.”
"We're really excited to be establishing our business here in Newport at a time of investment and regeneration in the city and the team of JLL made the whole process very easy and trouble-free for us."
JLL, a professional services and investment management company specializing in real estate, is the sole letting agent for the industrial estate and also manages the site, owned by Arundel House Estates Ltd.
Heather Lawrence, associate in industrial and logistics at JLL in Cardiff said: "The speed with which the units have been snapped up at Maesglas demonstrates both the quality of the facilities and the health of the South Wales economy beyond Cardiff.”
He further stated "We already have interest in the units currently undergoing refurbishment and anticipate that they will be let shortly after works are completed."
