European Aluminium Industry has rated France as one of the key growth markets. As the country has the record of exporting more than 400,000 tonnes of aluminium scrap every year.
In recent times the aluminium scrap export has been spotted with de-growth, though it was expected as the previous few years were only showing marginal rises.
{alcircleadd}The scrap market dealers in France have already started reporting their more than sufficient stocks levels.

The scrap export from 2017-19 has been recorded at 1,487,808 tonnes, which generated $1.22 billion as foreign income. The year 2020 has been projected with 534,575 tonnes when added it stands to 2,022,383 tonnes. The projected earnings will be $440.25 million, stretching the revenue generation to $1.66 billion.
France has been exporting aluminium scraps to multiple countries and the major ones are Austria, Belgium, China, Luxemburg, Czech Republic, Germany, Honk Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, etc.
In the year 2017, the aluminium scrap export stood at 465,462 tonnes, which generated $386.32 million. The year 2018 showed a narrow rise of 6.91%, export volume was 497,771 tonnes, which was 32,309 tonnes more than the previous year. The revenue generation stood at $411.23 million.
The aluminium scrap export of France in 2019 was accounted at 533,972 tonnes, though again a marginal rise of 6.77% from its preceding year. The excess volume was 36,201 tonnes and revenue generation amounted to $429.93 million.
The year 2020 has been projected with a decline of 1.75% in aluminium scrap import, whereas revenue generation has been forecasted a bit high from the previous year, accounting to $440.24 million. The major reason is the price hike and joining of new importing countries in the scrap aluminium trade list.
