A press release from the Reed Exhibitions confirms that ALUMINIUM INDIA 2019, the subcontinent’s biggest event for this sector will be held simultaneously with INCAL Conferencefrom 31 January to 2 February in Bhubaneswar, Odisha; the hub of the Indian aluminium industry.

Indian Aluminium Industry is adding capacities and investing in new technologies to cater to the growing demand from sectors like transport and construction. The country was the second largest aluminium producer in ex-china world in 2017 and the country is focusing on developing a strong downstream sector. ALUMINIUM INDIA 2019 will reflect these market developments and for the first time, the trade fair will be accompanied by the renowned INCAL Conference, organised in parallel by the Aluminium Association of India (AAI).
About 100 exhibitors are expected to feature at ALUMINIUM INDIA 2019. The trade fair covers the complete aluminium value chain from raw materials through processing to finished products for the end-user industries. The “7th International Conference on Aluminium” (INCAL), to be held under the topic of "Making Aluminium ... Driving Growth and Development" will host about 800 delegates from the industry. The delegates will discuss new technologies, business opportunities, downstream perspectives and new aluminium applications.
The Indian government is investing more than US$ 1 billion in infrastructure projects under the “Make in India” scheme. The investment is also helping the aluminium industry because demand for this material continues rising with growing application in the industrial and manufacturing sector. Experts expect demand for aluminium to rise in double-digits over the coming ten years.
India, especially Odisha houses vast deposits of high-quality bauxite ore that account for almost five percent of the world’s reserves. Indian primary aluminium producers have the lowest production costs worldwide because of the availability of bauxite ore, own alumina refineries and captive power plants.

Electrical,construction/civil engineering and packaging sector drive the maximum of aluminium demand in India. The growing solar industry is also expected to contribute to future consumption growth for aluminium in India. The present India offers the perfect timing and location for such a mega event.
“The combination of ALUMINIUM INDIA and INCAL 2019 offers top prerequisites for know-how and technology transfer among international and regional producers, processors and technology vendors,” says Olaf Freier, Event Director for ALUMINIUM at trade fair organiser Reed Exhibitions.

“I am very pleased with the cooperation with the Indian Aluminium Association. Both events are perfectly timed since India’s growing demand for semi-finished goods in the various application industries generates demand for international technology for installing new production sites,” he added.
The first ALUMINIUM INDIA exhibition was held in Mumbai in 2008. It is one of the in total six aluminium trade fairs organised by Reed Exhibitions around the globe.
