Aluminium futures rise on global cues, spot demand
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in October shot-up by 75 paise, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 105.15 per kg, with a business turnover of 668 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in November traded higher by 70 paise, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 106.25 per kg, with a business turnover of 74 lots.
Marketmen said the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade was in line with a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after data showed China's industrial production, retail sales and fixed-asset investment accelerated in September, raising demand outlook.
