
The Board of Director of Aluminum has unanimously elected Mr Guillaume de Goÿs, Chief Operating Officer of Alvance as the new Chairman of Aluminum France.

Mr de Goÿs takes the place of Jean-François Faure, General Manager Aluminum Technology at Rio Tinto and held the position of Chairman of Aluminum France for 3 years. The entire Board of Directors thanked Jean-François Faure for his mission within the profession and it is his mandate that made it possible to reposition the aluminium industry within major French industrial professional organizations and to increase its visibility with stakeholders. This positioning allowed the profession to be very responsive in managing the Rusal crisis of 2018 and that of COVID-19 in 2020.
Guillaume de Goÿs will be desirous to continue the work initiated by Jean-François Faure, and to support the profession meet the challenges of reindustrialisation, its response to climate change, and its permanent adaptation to the post-COVID business environment.
A graduate of ECAM and IAE Lyon, Mr de Goÿs began his career at Michelin before joining the Pechiney group in 2002. He joined Aluminum Dunkerque in 2014 as director of operations and then became General Manager before moving to join as COO of the Alvance group in 2020.
