Tatton Park’s Glasshouses which are currently closed to the public due unsafe to enter are being set aside for replacement. It is a historic estate in Cheshire, England, north of the town of Knutsford.

As per the report, the Vinery and Potting Shed glasshouses adjoin a wall at the park garden and are in very poor condition.
Now, the plan is to replace the rotten timber structures of the glasshouses with aluminium frames over the next seven years, which allows time for fundraising to pay for the work.
Cheshire East Council sought out the planning approval to replace the lean-to timber glasshouses, which contains historic vines.

The Potting Shed dates from the early 19th century, and the Vinery is a late 20th-century replacement for an earlier structure.
A report with the application said: “The condition of both buildings is very poor, with the partial collapse of some elements of the roof making the buildings unsafe to enter, and they remain closed to the public.
“The practicality of repairing the slender timber mullions and the cost make it unviable for repair, and therefore replacement is recommended.”
The poor condition of the buildings was hurting the setting of the garden and park, added the report, and the replacements would be built within seven years.
