
As of May 11, the domestic aluminium billet social inventory closed at 168,600 tonnes, up 10,900 tonnes from the previous week. Inventory grew as a result of continuous cargo arrivals and low downstream consumption.

A growing proportion of molten aluminium was converted into billets and other intermediate products. Meanwhile, the aluminium extrusion business is transitioning into the off-season. As a result, the accumulation of aluminium billet inventory will be hazardous.

The inventories in Foshan and Changzhou have expanded by 12,800 tonnes and 2,000 tonnes to halt at 108,400 tonnes and 7,800 tonnes.
On the other hand, both Wuxi and Nanchang had recorded a drop of 2,800 tonnes and 1,100 tonnes to reside at 21,800 tonnes and 5,600 tonnes. Only in Huzhou, the aluminium billet inventory had shown no change to clock at 25,000 tonnes.
