Aluminium Association of India meets Union Steel Minister

The newly elected body of Aluminium Association of India (AAI) met Union Minister of Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday in New Delhi to put forth its plans and press for business safeguards.
In the meeting, members of the body expressed concern over extreme sluggish domestic and international aluminium market conditions and requested for Government interventions to revive aluminium sector in the country.
President of AAI Tapan Kumar Chand emphasised that promotion of aluminium consumption will give a big boost to ‘Make in India’ movement. He informed that the International Aluminium Conference-2017 will be held in Bhubaneswar in February where all world leaders of aluminium industry will participate.
