ALUMIL Group CEO receives ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ title from Ernst & Young

The President and CEO of ALUMIL, Mr. George Milonas was awarded for his international presence and the company’s lifetime global performance in the “Entrepreneur of the Year” competition organized by Ernst & Young.

An audit firm based in UK, Ernst & Young has its subsidiaries all over Europe. The ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ competition was held under the company’s Greek counterpart, marking the day as a grand celebration of extraordinary and innovative entrepreneurship.

The evening was star cladded as various prominent figures from Greece were felicitated for their contribution to the development of the nation.

Mr. George Milonas, the President and CEO of ALUMIL Group, received his award in the ‘Internationally Growing Entrepreneur’ category which is justified since he has spent almost four decades in the aluminium industry and 34 years at the steering wheel of ALUMIL.

He boasts about being an extrovert which has made him work instinctively in many cases where he had to make bold decisions. This approach has led the company towards immense success both in the domestic and international scene.

Mr. Milonas was lost in nostalgia when he looked back at his career which had been full of global, economic and geopolitical difficulties. Remembering the past he said, “In my life, my experience has taught me that you have to deal with crises in a calm way and with a clear mind. You should not let crises panic and overwhelm you. Most importantly, if you have by your side your wife, your sister and your three young sons, who have joined the company in the last few years, bringing their energy, passion and vision, then…impossible is nothing!”
