Jan Lukaszewski, the technical manager of ALFED, is set to offer valuable insights into the subject of 'comprehending and choosing the appropriate aluminium alloy.'
He stated. "This talk will provide an overview of alloy developments and properties, applications and an insight into aluminium as a strategic metal, broaching welding issues".
The upcoming seminar and discussion line-up will feature a presentation by a representative from Hitachi Rail. This talk will delve into the various challenges faced and lessons learned during the process of joining aluminium for their train carriages. Additionally, Cranfield University is set to host two informative sessions. These talks will focus on key subjects such as laser welding and metal additive manufacturing in the context of AI. Furthermore, Cranfield University will provide insights into its specialized MSc Welding Technology master's degree program.
Guests can anticipate experiencing and experimenting with cutting-edge smart techniques for manual, robotic, and automated welding. These techniques provide solutions to various application hurdles available on machines, including the Fronius TPS/i and iWave, among others.
However, from 4 pm on the specified day, Cranfield University will conduct tours of its cutting-edge laboratory facilities.
