A00 Aluminium Ingot prices slopes down in China, alumina continues to rise further

The A00 Aluminium Ingot (Al99.70) price in China is on a downward curve for two consecutive days after a rise. . According to Shanghai Metals Market Statistics, today’s price stands at RMB 16,200/t, a drop from RMB 16,250/t yesterday and would range between RMB 16,180 – 16,220/t today. Average monthly price for September stands at RMB 16,090.42/t.

SHFE 1709 aluminium also took a plunge on Friday morning, closing at RMB16,090/tonne before noon. This compelled suppliers in Guangdong spot market to cut offers to RMB16,110/tonne, down from RMB16,200-16,230/tonne traded before the slump in futures market.

Trading slowed down as lower prices triggered bearishness in the market. Today’s A00 Aluminum Ingot prices and the daily changes in the six major domestic markets are shown in the table below:

As for other raw materials are concerned, Average prebaked anode prices in in East China, Central China, Southwest China and Northwest China market remain unchanged at RMB 4415/t, RMB 4220/t, RMB 4275/t and RMB 4600/t respectively today.

Average spot alumina price in China continues its upward track on Sept 15 to stand at RMB 3299/tonne from RMB 3242/tonne yesterday. Bauxite prices in Henan province have registered a slight rise today.
