A00 aluminium ingot price slumps by RMB120/t to RMB 18,670/t; Average alumina spot price shrinks by RMB5/t

On Friday, August 12, A00 aluminium ingot price in China slipped by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 18,670 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 18,650 per tonne and RMB 18,690 per tonne, with spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 370 per tonne to RMB 330 per tonne.

Wuxi and Hangzhou prices have slipped by RMB 120 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,630 per tonne and RMB 18,680 per tonne. In Gongyi, the price has gone down by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 18,510 per tonne. On the same day, in Shenyang, the price slumped by RMB 90 per tonne to score at RMB 18,620 per tonne, followed by Foshan, where the price descended by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 18,560 per tonne. As per the SMM data, in Linyi, the price has decreased by RMB 60 per tonne to record at RMB 18,650 per tonne. In Chongqing and Tianjin, the price has descended by RMB 40 per tonne to close at RMB 18,620 per tonne and RMB 18,650 per tonne.

The average alumina spot price has gone down by RMB 5 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,959 per tonne, followed by a drop of RMB 30 per tonne in Shandong, where the price has closed at RMB 2,970 per tonne. In Lianyungang and Bayuquan, the A00 aluminium ingot price has shrunk by RMB 25 per tonne to settle at RMB 3,025 per tonne and RMB 3,075 per tonne. In Guizhou, the price has settled at RMB 2,905 per tonne, after going down by RMB 5 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have slipped by RMB 100 per tonne to close at RMB 26,800 per tonne and RMB 27,800 per tonne.

The aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price has increased by RMB 100 per tonne to rest at RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne. The average price for aluminium alloys (ADC12) is expected to hover between RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 18,900 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A380), the average price is likely to orbit between RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne.

However, on the other hand, the aluminium alloy (A356) price has gone down by RMB 100 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,800 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne.
