A00 aluminium ingot price in China slumps by RMB390/t to RMB17,600/t; Australian Alumina FOB price drops by US$12/t

On Wednesday, July 13, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China has declined by RMB 390 per tonne to halt at RMB 17,600 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the average price for the same is expected to range between RMB 17,580 per tonne and RMB 17,620 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 20 per to a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot price has witnessed a downfall in all the major provinces, with the highest in Linyi. The price in Linyi has nosedived by RMB 420 per tonne to close at RMB 17,700 per tonne. On the same day, the price in Foshan and Wuxi has plunged by RMB 390 per tonne to peg at RMB 17,460 per tonne and RMB 17,600 per tonne. In Chongqing and Shenyang, the price has descended by RMB 310 per tonne and RMB 350 per tonne to stop at RMB 17,610 per tonne and RMB 17,660 per tonne. In Tianjin, the price has fallen by RMB 330 per tonne to record at RMB 17,700 per tonne.

The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price, has downgraded by RMB 400 per tonne, to halt at RMB 25,600 per tonne and RMB 26,600 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy (ADC12) prices and aluminium alloy (A380) price has plummeted by RMB 250 per tonne to score at RMB 18,000 per tonne and RMB 19,000 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to orbit between RMB 17,900 per tonne and RMB 18,100 per tonne. For aluminium alloy (A380), the average price is expected to hover between RMB 18,900 per tonne and RMB 19,100 per tonne. The aluminium alloy (A356) price has gone down by RMB 350 per tonne to come in at RMB 18,700 per tonne. The average price for the same is expected to stand between RMB 18,600 per tonne and RMB 18,800 per tonne.

The Australian Alumina FOB price has dropped by US$12 per tonne to settle at US$333 per tonne. On the same day, the aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.4 per kg to register at RMB 19.4 per kg, with average prices likely to range between RMB 19.3 per kg and RMB 19.5 per kg.
