On Sunday, September 8, a hopper filled with coal collapsed at an alumina refinery owned by Maa Kudargarhi Group in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district, taking away the lives of four workers. A hopper, which is also referred to as a bunker by workers, is used to store fuel like coal or rice husk in large quantities. As per preliminary information, one such steel hopper collapsed on ten men working beneath it. Four lost lives were retrieved from the site, while the remaining six were found survived.
