
On Friday, May 5, A00 aluminium ingot price in China slumped by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,360 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 18,340 per tonne and RMB 18,380 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 10 per tonne to a premium price of RMB 30 per tonne. A significant decline of RMB 120 per tonne was also recorded W-o-W from RMB 18,480 per tonne on Friday, April 28.

The A00 aluminium ingot prices have declined in all the major provinces except Shenyang, where the price has increased by RMB 10 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,540 per tonne. The aluminium ingot prices in Foshan and Chongqing have dwindled by RMB 170 per tonne and RMB 160 per tonne to score at RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,470 per tonne. On the same day, the price in Wuxi dropped by RMB 145 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,360 per tonne, followed by a fall of RMB 140 per tonne in Gongyi and Hangzhou to clock at RMB 18,290 per tonne and RMB 18,390 per tonne. In Linyi and Tianjin, the prices have decreased by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,440 per tonne and RMB 18,460 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has contracted by RMB 165 per tonne to close at RMB 19,037 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have descended by RMB 100 per tonne to reside at RMB 26,100 per tonne and RMB 27,100 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have fallen by RMB 200 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,800 per tonne and RMB 19,800 per tonne. The average price for (ADC12) is expected to range between RMB 18,700 per tonne and RMB 18,900 per tonne, and for (A380) the average prices may orbit between RMB 19,700 per tonne and RMB 19,900 per tonne.
On the same day, the aluminium alloy (A356) price has decreased by RMB 150 per tonne to clock at RMB 19,150 per tonne, with the average prices expected to stand between RMB 19,000 per tonne and RMB 19,300 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has inched down by RMB 0.2 per kg to clock at RMB 20.2 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 20.1 per kg and RMB 20.3 per kg.
