China’s A00 aluminium ingot price plummets for the third day to RMB19160/t; Aluminium alloy (A356) price shrinks by RMB200/t

A00 aluminium ingot price in China has recorded a decline for the third consecutive day to stand at the edge of RMB 19,000 per tonne. According to the Shanghai Metals Market, the primary aluminium ingot price has plunged by RMB 180 per tonne to close the week on Friday, June 24, at RMB 19,160 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 19,140 per tonne and RMB 19,180 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0-40 per tonne.

The Chinese province Foshan has seen the highest downfall of RMB 190 per tonne today to come in at RMB 19,130 per tonne, followed by the slump of RMB 180 per tonne in Hangzhou and Tianjin to rest at RMB 19,210 per tonne. In Linyi, A00 aluminium ingot price has also registered a fall of RMB 180 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,310 per tonne. In Wuxi and Gongyi, the primary aluminium ingot price has dwindled by RMB 160 per tonne to RMB 19,170 per tonne and RMB 19,260 per tonne, while the price in Chongqing and Shenyang has shrunk by RMB 150 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,230 per tonne and RMB 19,220 per tonne, respectively.

The Shanghai Metals Market has also shown the price of low carbon aluminium fallen by RMB 190 per tonne on Friday, June 24, to stand at RMB 19,754 per tonne. Both high purity aluminium (99.99%) and high purity aluminium (99.96%) prices have plummeted by RMB 200 per tonne to hover around RMB 27,200 per tonne and RMB 28,200 per tonne, respectively.

In line with the primary aluminium ingot price fall, aluminium alloy (A356) price has plunged by RMB 200 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,200 per tonne, found SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 20,100 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne.

Aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have contracted by RMB 150 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,550 per tonne and RMB 20,550 per tonne, respectively.

Among primary aluminium input costs, aluminium powder price has recorded a dip of RMB 0.20 per kg to stand at RMB 20.90 per kg. The average prices are estimated to range between RMB 20.8-21 per kg.
