The A00 aluminium ingot price in China has been on the rise since Monday, January 9. As of Friday, January 13, the price has been recorded at RMB 18,460 per tonne with a hike of RMB 230 per tonne. The average price for the same may orbit between RMB 18,440 per tonne and RMB 18,480 per tonne, with the spot contract expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 20 per tonne to a premium price of RMB 20 per tonne.
The prices have shown an increment in all the major provinces. As per the SMM data, the prices in Gongyi, Foshan and Wuxi have ascended by RMB 220 per tonne to close at RMB 18,300 per tonne, RMB 18,520 per tonne and RMB 18,465 per tonne. On the same day, prices in Hangzhou, Chongqing and Linyi also witnessed the same price hike, scoring at RMB 18,470 per tonne, RMB 18,540 per tonne and RMB 18,460 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot price in Shenyang and Tianjin has gone up by RMB 210 per tonne and RMB 200 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,460 per tonne and RMB 18,440 per tonne.
On the other hand, the average alumina spot price inched up by RMB 1 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,933 per tonne. In Bayuquan and Lianyungang, the price has expanded by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne to reside at RMB 2,950 per tonne and RMB 2,890 per tonne. In Guizhou, the price has climbed up by RMB 5 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,850 per tonne.
The domestic price of low carbon aluminium in China has increased by RMB 217 per tonne to reside at RMB 19,097 per tonne. The high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have surged by RMB 200 per tonne to stop at RMB 26,400 per tonne and RMB 27,400 per tonne.
The Australian alumina FOB price has grown by US$20.19 per tonne to halt at US$2,341.76 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has inched up by RMB 0.2 per kg to stop at RMB 20.1 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 20 per kg to RMB 20.2 per kg.
