The event brought together 23 professional technicians from:

  • Sinosteel Wuhan Institute of Safety and Environmental Protection
  • Kunming Institute of Nonferrous Metallurgy Design & Research
  • Chinalco Qinghai Branch, Shandong Hongqiao Group
  • The Institute's own aluminium electrolysis research team

The participants engaged in lively discussions on the revised specifications for aluminium electrolysis production, including technology, design, equipment, casting, and safety management. The seminar successfully achieved its intended goals and outcomes.

The project began in July 2021, spearheaded by the National Emergency Management Department and the Metallurgical Nonferrous Safety Sub-technical Committee of the National Safety Standards Committee. It received official approval from the Emergency Management Department on July 5, 2022.

On December 28, 2023, the National Standardization Administration formally issued the plan for the standard's preparation and revision, with the project number 20231701-Q-450. The project is receiving financial backing from the State Emergency Management Department and the General Administration of Market Supervision, with plans to complete the approval application process by the end of 2024.
