Yunnan Aluminum Haixin carries out trial production of A356.2 (K-84) aluminium square bar

Yunnan Aluminum Haixin Alloy conducted the trial production of its much-awaited aluminium square bar A356.2 (K-84). At the dawn of the New Year, the company also marked successful mass production of Liufeng A356.2-Sr and A356.2 (K-3). Presently, the Alloy Division boasts an independent production capacity for five distinct A356.2 alloy products: A356.2 (K-18), A356.2 (K-19), A356.2 (K-80), A356.2-Sr, and A356.2 (K-3).

The triumphant addition of A356.2 (K-84) to the array of aluminium alloy products further fortifies the company's prowess in the alloying business. In the realm of aluminium alloy elements, magnesium emerges as a pivotal contributor to strengthening. A mere 1 per cent increase in magnesium translates to an impressive approximately 34 MPa uptick in the alloy's tensile strength.

In the pursuit of optimising properties for the newly introduced A356.2 (K-84), the Alloy Division, compared to A356.2-Sr alloy products, has augmented the magnesium content in aluminium alloys by 0.1 per cent. This strategic enhancement elevates the new products' tensile strength, all within the confines of an unaltered production process and unchanged physical conditions.

Throughout the trial production phase, the Alloy Department meticulously oversees the process flow, ensuring that the casting qualification rate consistently exceeds 99.3 per cent. The casting rods exhibit a lustrous, smooth, straight appearance, attesting to the unwavering commitment to quality.
