Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 7000 series aluminium frame unveiled in China

After the success of last year’s bezel-less Mi Mix, Xiaomi has taken the wraps off its latest offering the Mi Mix 2 at an event in China. The successor to bezel-less Mi Mix is a thinner handset with ceramic body and 7000 series aluminium frame.
Xiaomi claims the smartphone is targeted towards the new-age business professionals.

According to the company specs, the Mi Mix 2 with aluminium frame comes with the Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and 64,128 or 256GB of internal storage depending on the variant. Besides, the smartphone has a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi claims the handset is smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus despite having such a large display.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is superior at the connectivity front. The phone comes with support for global LTE bands - 43 bands in total. It also supports LTE 4, dual-band MIMo Wi-Fi, 4G + and more.
The Mi Mix 2 has a smaller camera module in order to make more space for the screen. At the rear, there is a 12MP Sony IMX382 sensor with a larger pixel size of 1.25um. There is also 4 - axis image stabilisation on board. With sleek aluminium frame the smartphone is expected to touch the right chord with the business users.
