
Vedanta has hiked its aluminium products price by more than 1%. With effect from Wednesday, 26 May 2021, the prices of some aluminium ingots have risen by INR 2,500 per tonne, standing at INR 210,250-197,250 per tonne from INR 207,750-194,750 per tonne on May 25.

The company’s billets price stands at INR 205,250 per tonne on Wednesday, 26 May 2021, an increase of 1.23% INR 2,500 per tonne or 1.38% from INR 202,750 per tonne on May 25.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price on stood at US$ 2,341 per tonne on Tuesday, May 25, an increase from US$ 2,305 per tonne on May 24.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
