US aluminium plates, sheets and bars imports from Germany surge by 4.83% M-o-M in February’22
As per the latest USGS data, the United States imported 2,170 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars from German in February 2022. On an M-o-M scale, a surge of 100 tonnes or 4.83 per cent was recorded in February, from 2070 tonnes in January 2022. On the other hand in January, the amount of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported from Germany by the United States plunged by 1,450 tonnes or 41.19 per cent from 3,520 tonnes in December 2021.
On a Y-o-Y scale, in February 2022 the amount of US aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported from Germany plummeted by 350 tonnes or 15.23 per cent from 2,560 tonnes in February 2021. The total quantity of aluminium plates, sheets and bars imported from Germany by the United States in 2021 settled at 39,700 tonnes.
The total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, and bars imported by the United States peaked at 107,000 tonnes in February 2022, down from 112,000 tonnes in January 2022 by 5,000 tonnes, or 4.46 per cent. On the other side, from 109,000 tonnes in December 2021 to 3,000 tonnes in January 2022, there was a significant increase of 3,000 tonnes.
