Uniprom plans to invest 20 million euros in aluminium slabs facility

Montenegro-based aluminium company Uniprom has planned to invest 20 million euros in the new manufacturing unit at aluminium smelter KAP's plant in Podgorica. The company will build a new plant for the production of aluminium slabs, SeeNews reported.

The construction work of a new plant is expected to be completed in 2021. Uniprom said in a statement that slabs production capacities at this new facility will be 35,000 tonnes per year. Aluminium slabs is a material used for the production of sheet metal and other items for the automotive industry.
Uniprom has completed the negotiations and will soon sign the contract for the construction of a new plant.
The company had also announced to invest 15 million euro in aluminium billets production unit at the factory of KAP. The plant will have annual capacity of 70,000 tonnes.
