
During the first quarter of 2022 (1Q2022), the United States imported 93,300 tonnes of aluminium crude metals and alloys from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which heightened by 15,500 tonnes or 19.92 per cent Y-o-Y, from 77,800 tonnes in 1Q2021. As per the USGS statistics, on a Q-o-Q calculation, a dropdown of 8,100 tonnes was recorded in 1Q2022 from 101,400 tonnes in 4Q2022.

In March 2022, UAE exported 37,600 tonnes of aluminium crude metals and alloys to the United States, which hiked by 13,500 tonnes or 56.01 per cent from 24,100 tonnes in February. In contrast, February witnessed a plunge of 7,500 tonnes or 23.73 per cent from 31,600 tonnes in January. In March 2022, the United States imported 37,600 tonnes of aluminium crude metals and alloys from UAE, which on a Y-o-Y calculation soared up by 6,400 tonnes or 20.51 per cent from 31,200 tonnes in March 2021.
In March 2022, the United States imported 341,100 tonnes of aluminium crude metals alloys, which surged by 79,000 tonnes or 30.15 per cent from 262,000 tonnes in February. On the other hand, in February, a decrease of 81,000 tonnes or 23.61 per cent was recorded from 343,000 tonnes in January.
